Day 01

Arrival in Cairo & First Glimpse of the City

 

Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where a representative meets you, helps with formalities, and guides you to your vehicle.

Drive into the city and check in at your apartment-style hotel in Cairo, the base for the first stretch of your Egypt tour.

The rest of the day is free to rest, adjust, or take a short walk nearby to feel the pace of the city.

Dahshur, Memphis & Saqqara: Egypt’s Early Stone Story

 

Leave after breakfast towards Dahshur, Memphis, and Saqqara, some of Egypt’s oldest, best-preserved archaeological zones.

Descend into the Bent and Red Pyramids at Dahshur, exploring steep tunnels and quiet inner chambers that feel more adventurous and less crowded than Giza.

Walk through Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt, and see the open-air museum with colossal statues and relics from the Old Kingdom.

Finish at Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, considered the oldest complete stone building complex in the world, then drive back to Cairo.

Journey to the Black & White Desert Egypt

 

Early in the morning, leave Cairo and drive southwest through changing desert landscapes towards Bahariya Oasis.

Stop for a typical local lunch, then transfer into 4×4 jeeps and begin your desert segment: the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, and the dramatic dunes around Agabat Valley.

By late afternoon, enter the White Desert National Park, with chalk rock formations scattered across the sand like sculptures. As the sun drops, the light turns the formations soft pink.

Set up camp, enjoy a barbecue dinner under the stars with simple Bedouin music, and sleep in tents in the quiet desert.

Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, with spiral staircases, carved columns, and tombs that blend Egyptian, Greek, and Roman elements.

Visit Pompey’s Pillar and the remains of the Serapeum, then continue to the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, whose façade is carved with scripts from over 120 languages.
